Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.17% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which rose 3.40% or 320.0 points to trade at 9720.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 1.79% or 35.0 points to end at 1985.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) was up 1.18% or 35.0 points to 2995.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Conconcret (CN:CIC), which lost 1.39% or 14.0 points to trade at 991.0 in late trade. Etb (CN:ETB) declined 0.87% or 4.0 points to end at 457.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) shed 0.81% or 240.0 points to 29400.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 12 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 1.10% or 1.34 to $123.12 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 0.63% or 12.00 to hit $1913.50 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 4.10 to trade at $1268.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.46% to 2957.26, while BRL/COP fell 0.69% to 896.79.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 92.89.
