Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemargos (CN:CCB), which rose 1.13% or 120.0 points to trade at 10700.0 at the close. Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) added 0.81% or 320.0 points to end at 39820.0 and Empresa de Energia de Bogota SA ESP (CN:EEB) was up 0.74% or 15.0 points to 2040.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Etb (CN:ETB), which lost 2.44% or 11.0 points to trade at 440.0 in late trade. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) declined 1.60% or 140.0 points to end at 8600.0 and Interconnection Electric SA ESP (CN:ISA) shed 1.31% or 180.0 points to 13540.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 1 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 0.86% or 1.03 to $118.92 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 0.21% or 4.50 to hit $2147.50 , while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.30% or 4.00 to trade at $1327.20 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.64% to 2882.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.44% to 883.58.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 89.97.
