Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which rose 4.63% or 190.0 points to trade at 4290.0 at the close. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) added 3.00% or 480.0 points to end at 16480.0 and Grupoaval (CN:GAA) was up 2.33% or 25.0 points to 1100.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which lost 1.02% or 30.0 points to trade at 2900.0 in late trade. Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) declined 0.47% or 5.0 points to end at 1065.0 and Conconcret (CN:CIC) shed 0.28% or 1.0 points to 360.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 11 to 10 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.34% or 0.35 to $102.75 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 1.21% or 28.00 to hit $2350.00 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.90 to trade at $1290.90 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.54% to 3132.55, while BRL/COP rose 0.12% to 835.44.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 95.725.
