Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Chemicals and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS), which rose 11.04% or 26.7 points to trade at 268.5 at the close. Genmab (CO:GEN) added 4.43% or 52.0 points to end at 1226.0 and Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) was up 4.17% or 10.3 points to 257.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS), which lost 8.51% or 40.1 points to trade at 431.0 in late trade. A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) declined 4.40% or 420 points to end at 9115 and A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) shed 4.36% or 395 points to 8675.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 75 to 75 and 15 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.47% or 0.66 to $45.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.30% or 0.60 to hit $46.64 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.27% or 3.45 to trade at $1277.95 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.83% to 6.8060, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4425.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.57% at 98.44.
