Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Information Technology, Metal Products & Machinery and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Alarko Gmyo (IS:ALGYO), which rose 6.19% or 1.75 points to trade at 30.00 at the close. Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) added 4.00% or 0.010 points to end at 0.250 and Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON) was up 3.77% or 0.26 points to 7.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Anadolu Cam (IS:ANACM), which lost 5.91% or 0.130 points to trade at 2.070 in late trade. Trakya Cam (IS:TRKCM) declined 5.26% or 0.110 points to end at 1.980 and Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD) shed 4.49% or 0.250 points to 5.320.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 276 to 122 and 11 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.21% or 2.30 to $1090.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.44% or 0.63 to hit $44.50 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.59% or 0.28 to trade at $48.20 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.10% to 2.9180, while EUR/TRY fell 0.78% to 3.1176.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.39% at 99.51.
