Investing.com – Brazil equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Real Estate, Consumption and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa fell 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were BRF SA (BVMF:BRFS3), which rose 3.08% or 0.68 points to trade at 22.73 at the close. Prio SA (BVMF:PRIO3) added 1.55% or 0.67 points to end at 43.85 and Bradespar SA (BVMF:BRAP4) was up 1.37% or 0.25 points to 18.51 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Azul SA Pref (BVMF:AZUL4), which lost 6.15% or 0.48 points to trade at 7.33 in late trade. Embraer SA (BVMF:EMBR3) declined 6.04% or 2.31 points to end at 35.91 and YDUQS Participacoes SA (BVMF:YDUQ3) shed 4.98% or 0.55 points to 10.49.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 609 to 344 and 56 ended unchanged on the B3 Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 0.62% to 25.82.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.05% or 1.10 to $2,335.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.27% or 0.22 to hit $81.52 a barrel, while the September US coffee C contract rose 0.59% or 1.33 to trade at $227.68 .
USD/BRL was up 1.73% to 5.60, while EUR/BRL rose 1.58% to 5.99.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 105.56.
