Investing.com – Brazil equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Real Estate, Consumption and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa added 0.99%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were Cia Siderurgica Nacional SA (SA:CSNA3), which rose 5.84% or 0.53 points to trade at 9.61 at the close. Kroton Educacional SA (SA:KROT3) added 4.97% or 0.95 points to end at 20.05 and Smiles ON (SA:SMLE3) was up 4.60% or 3.54 points to 80.48 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Suzano Papel e Celulose SA (SA:SUZB5), which lost 2.45% or 0.46 points to trade at 18.31 in late trade. Tim Participacoes SA (SA:TIMP3) declined 1.20% or 0.14 points to end at 11.55 and CEMIG - Companhia Energetica Minas Gerais Pref (SA:CMIG4) shed 0.87% or 0.07 points to 7.98.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 239 to 124 and 46 ended unchanged on the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 3.92% to 30.63.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.42% or 5.47 to $1283.23 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $51.59 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract fell 0.19% or 0.25 to trade at $128.22 .
USD/BRL was down 0.49% to 3.1667, while EUR/BRL fell 0.19% to 3.7436.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 92.90.
