Investing.com – Brazil equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumption and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa added 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were BRF SA (BVMF:BRFS3), which rose 4.59% or 0.88 points to trade at 20.07 at the close. YDUQS Participacoes SA (BVMF:YDUQ3) added 4.52% or 0.48 points to end at 11.11 and Marfrig Alimentos SA (BVMF:MRFG3) was up 3.79% or 0.40 points to 10.96 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Azul SA Pref (BVMF:AZUL4), which lost 3.79% or 0.32 points to trade at 8.13 in late trade. Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (BVMF:CSNA3) declined 2.08% or 0.27 points to end at 12.72 and Sendas Distribuidora SA (BVMF:ASAI3) shed 1.16% or 0.13 points to 11.04.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 507 to 383 and 27 ended unchanged on the B3 Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 4.02% to 27.72.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.18% or 4.20 to $2,342.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.09% or 0.07 to hit $80.64 a barrel, while the September US coffee C contract fell 0.40% or 0.90 to trade at $226.40 .
USD/BRL was unchanged 0.02% to 5.43, while EUR/BRL rose 0.20% to 5.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 104.88.
