Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 2.90% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which fell 0.54% or 4.6 points to trade at 852.0 at the close. Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) fell 0.60% or 90 points to end at 14860 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) was down 0.72% or 33 points to 4560 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 8.48% or 290 points to trade at 3130 in late trade. Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) declined 6.37% or 4460 points to end at 65520 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) shed 6.02% or 3990 points to 62240.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 308 to 42 and 104 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.99% or 0.91 to $31.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.81% or 0.55 to hit $30.73 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.46% or 5.00 to trade at $1082.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.09% to 3.9418, while EUR/ILS fell 0.25% to 4.2740.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.38% at 99.29.
