Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.82%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN), which rose 6.33% or 16.0 points to trade at 268.8 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) added 4.54% or 370 points to end at 8525 and A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) was up 3.74% or 295 points to 8175 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Genmab (CO:GEN), which added 0.17% or 2.0 points to trade at 1191.0 in late trade. ISS A/S (CO:ISS) added 0.70% or 1.70 points to end at 244.00 and William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH) gained 0.70% or 0.9 points to 129.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 119 to 20 and 21 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 3.01% or 1.43 to $46.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 3.05% or 1.49 to hit $47.31 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.51% or 6.95 to trade at $1360.15 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.34% to 6.7258, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4414.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 96.28.
