Investing.com – Belgium equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 declined 0.89% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BEL 20 were Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:WDPP), which rose 0.49% or 0.10 points to trade at 20.50 at the close. Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) added 0.47% or 0.12 points to end at 25.68 and Elia (EBR:ELI) was up 0.30% or 0.25 points to 83.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Syensqo SA (EBR:SYENS), which lost 2.14% or 1.57 points to trade at 71.79 in late trade. KBC Groep NV (EBR:KBC) declined 1.92% or 1.38 points to end at 70.48 and D’Ieteren NV (EBR:IETB) shed 1.47% or 2.90 points to 194.60.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 79 to 19 and 17 ended unchanged on the Brussels Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.63% or 16.35 to $2,630.95 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.12% or 0.08 to hit $69.09 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.19% or 0.14 to trade at $73.16 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 106.18.
