Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 2.83%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which fell 1.34% or 0.70 points to trade at 51.40 at the close. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) fell 1.36% or 3.7 points to end at 268.7 and Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) was down 1.50% or 3.8 points to 249.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 6.92% or 34.00 points to trade at 457.00 in late trade. Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) declined 4.41% or 8.7 points to end at 188.6 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) shed 4.28% or 7.1 points to 158.9.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 380 to 147 and 51 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.66% or 0.21 to $32.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.52% or 0.84 to hit $34.11 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 1.56% or 19.10 to trade at $1241.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.04% to 9.3520, while USD/SEK fell 0.03% to 8.4882.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.04% at 97.42.
