Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Public Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.74%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p), which rose 3.48% or 800.0 points to trade at 23800.0 at the close. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) added 3.22% or 780.0 points to end at 24980.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) was up 3.09% or 290.0 points to 9690.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS), which lost 2.67% or 920.0 points to trade at 33500.0 in late trade. Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) declined 2.15% or 720.0 points to end at 32780.0 and Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) shed 1.23% or 80.0 points to 6420.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 8 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 2.13% or 2.58 to $118.58 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.74% or 23.00 to hit $3104.50 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.59% or 6.70 to trade at $1133.10 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.93% to 3113.90, while BRL/COP rose 0.35% to 828.78.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.55% at 95.91.
