Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.52% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb), which rose 3.13% or 7.00 points to trade at 230.30 at the close. Investor AB ser. B (ST:INVEb) added 1.83% or 7.4 points to end at 412.4 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) was up 1.75% or 4.9 points to 285.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb), which lost 2.45% or 1.15 points to trade at 45.73 in late trade. Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) declined 0.89% or 1.20 points to end at 134.30 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) shed 0.48% or 0.9 points to 185.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 384 to 341 and 84 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.18% or 0.09 to $50.37 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.43% or 0.24 to hit $55.88 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.39% or 4.97 to trade at $1276.77 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.31% to 9.5549, while USD/SEK fell 0.55% to 8.1259.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 93.35.
