Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 1.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were ENI (MI:ENI), which fell 0.15% or 0.02 points to trade at 13.11 at the close. Snam (MI:SRG) fell 0.40% or 0.016 points to end at 4.026 and Italgas SpA (MI:IG) was down 0.42% or 0.02 points to 4.74 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which lost 3.80% or 0.124 points to trade at 3.136 in late trade. Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) declined 3.66% or 0.1120 points to end at 2.9500 and Mediaset (MI:MS) shed 3.62% or 0.118 points to 3.146.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 285 to 72 and 13 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.40% or 0.65 to $45.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.27% or 0.14 to hit $51.28 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 4.17 to trade at $1319.47 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.33% to 1.2018, while EUR/GBP rose 0.35% to 0.9294.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 91.97.
