Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Banking and Chemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Maghrebail (CS:MAB), which rose 5.99% or 55 points to trade at 975 at the close. Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) added 3.50% or 4.90 points to end at 145.00 and Colorado (CS:COL) was up 3.13% or 1.91 points to 63.01 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Centrale Danone (CS:CDA), which lost 5.99% or 55 points to trade at 865 in late trade. SMI (CS:SMI) declined 5.35% or 156 points to end at 2762 and Ciments Du Maroc (CS:SCM) shed 2.79% or 39 points to 1361.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 24 to 20 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.67% or 0.76 to $46.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.53% or 0.74 to hit $49.12 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.33 to trade at $1228.93 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.01% to 10.8490, while USD/MAD fell 0.07% to 9.8700.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 98.56.
