Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.61% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which rose 5.73% or 2.90 points to trade at 53.55 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 5.13% or 1.59 points to end at 32.60 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 3.29% or 1.65 points to 51.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V), which lost 1.00% or 0.110 points to trade at 10.890 in late trade. Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) declined 0.48% or 0.21 points to end at 43.86 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) shed 0.36% or 0.16 points to 44.11.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 84 to 52 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $52.57 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.48% or 0.24 to hit $49.80 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.28 to trade at $1265.92 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.53% to 1.0876, while EUR/GBP fell 0.43% to 0.8474.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 99.08.
