Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 1.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP), which rose 0.97% or 0.21 points to trade at 21.97 at the close. Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF) added 0.69% or 0.090 points to end at 13.190 and CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) was up 0.64% or 0.060 points to 9.380 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which lost 3.73% or 0.355 points to trade at 9.150 in late trade. Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) declined 2.83% or 0.070 points to end at 2.400 and UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) shed 2.42% or 0.3200 points to 12.8900.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 270 to 82 and 9 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.26% or 0.14 to $52.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.45% or 0.25 to hit $55.61 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.70% or 8.95 to trade at $1287.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.37% to 1.0626, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.8486.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 100.38.
