Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Services and Electricity sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Intergroup (LM:IFS), which rose 1.92% or 0.600 points to trade at 31.800 at the close. Empresa de Distribucion Electrica de Lima Norte SAA (LM:ENE) added 1.56% or 0.090 points to end at 5.850 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) was up 1.14% or 0.080 points to 7.080 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Relapasa (LM:REL), which lost 4.39% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.218 in late trade. Sider (LM:SID) declined 4.24% or 0.014 points to end at 0.316 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) shed 2.08% or 0.010 points to 0.470.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 13 to 9 and 11 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.26% or 1.15 to $52.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.43% or 1.31 to hit $55.33 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.52% or 5.85 to trade at $1135.65 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.05% to 3.4013, while EUR/PEN rose 0.54% to 3.5553.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.28% at 102.86.
