Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Investment, Public Services and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupoaval (CN:GAA), which rose 0.82% or 10.0 points to trade at 1225.0 at the close. Celsia SA (CN:CEL) added 0.75% or 30.0 points to end at 4040.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 0.46% or 120.0 points to 26140.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Etb (CN:ETB), which lost 2.17% or 13.0 points to trade at 585.0 in late trade. Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) declined 1.80% or 460.0 points to end at 25040.0 and Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) shed 1.25% or 480.0 points to 37920.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 8 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 0.95% or 1.43 to $152.38 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.75% or 20.00 to hit $2655.00 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.02% or 0.30 to trade at $1256.20 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.62% to 2904.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.81% to 906.71.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.21% at 97.93.
