The firm reported earnings per share of $1.93 on revenue of $11.1B. Analysts polled by Investing.com expected EPS of $1.89 on revenue of $11.04B. That compared to EPS of $1.79 on revenue of $10.32B in the same period a year earlier. The company had reported EPS of $1.73 on revenue of $10.45B in the previous quarter.
Accenture shares lost 0.94% to trade at $181.62 in intra-day trade following the report.
For the year, Accenture shares are up 28.8%, outperforming the S&P 500 which is up 18.22% year to date.
