Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Biomed and Communication sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.36% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which rose 4.48% or 910 points to trade at 21220 at the close. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) added 4.00% or 334 points to end at 8689 and Partner (TA:PTNR) was up 3.69% or 70 points to 1966 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 1.37% or 36 points to trade at 2594 in late trade. Poalim (TA:POLI) declined 1.17% or 27 points to end at 2280 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) shed 1.00% or 6.3 points to 621.7.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 271 to 139 and 91 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.39% or 0.18 to $46.25 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.57% or 0.28 to hit $49.06 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.69% or 8.44 to trade at $1218.66 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.01% to 3.6036, while EUR/ILS fell 0.29% to 3.9256.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 99.34.
