Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 0.13% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA), which rose 2.64% or 21.0 points to trade at 816.5 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) added 1.22% or 2.4 points to end at 199.3 and Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) was up 1.11% or 0.75 points to 68.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb), which lost 1.77% or 5.2 points to trade at 287.9 in late trade. Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) declined 1.16% or 5.7 points to end at 487.5 and William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH) shed 1.10% or 1.5 points to 134.3.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 77 to 58 and 21 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.34% or 0.68 to $50.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.09% or 0.57 to hit $51.84 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.14% or 1.80 to trade at $1254.10 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.25% to 6.7472, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4386.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 97.87.
