Investing.com – Belgium equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 gained 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BEL 20 were KBC (BR:KBC), which rose 2.79% or 1.460 points to trade at 53.700 at the close. Ackermans V.Haaren (BR:ACKB) added 2.76% or 3.40 points to end at 126.75 and ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) was up 1.61% or 0.190 points to 11.980 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Anheuser-Busch Inbev SA (BR:ABI), which lost 1.92% or 2.25 points to trade at 114.75 in late trade. UCB (BR:UCB) declined 1.69% or 1.13 points to end at 65.89 and Elia (BR:ELI) shed 1.21% or 0.555 points to 45.185.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 85 to 61 and 14 ended unchanged on the Brussels Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.38% or 4.85 to $1262.85 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.95% or 0.99 to hit $49.86 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.99% or 1.03 to trade at $50.75 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.0884, while EUR/GBP rose 0.43% to 0.8923.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 98.75.
