Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 1.09% or 0.27 points to trade at 24.98 at the close. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) added 0.75% or 1.7 points to end at 229.1 and Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) was up 0.52% or 0.50 points to 96.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which lost 1.51% or 2.10 points to trade at 137.10 in late trade. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) declined 1.37% or 1.90 points to end at 137.20 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) shed 1.36% or 1.20 points to 87.20.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 388 to 173 and 74 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 4.00% or 1.58 to $41.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 3.76% or 1.57 to hit $43.37 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.60% or 8.20 to trade at $1364.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.27% to 9.5327, while USD/SEK rose 0.40% to 8.5508.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.52% at 95.51.
