Investing.com – Indonesia equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Basic Industry and Consumer Industry sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite declined 1.92%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Victoria Insurance Tbk PT (JK:VINS), which rose 34.38% or 22 points to trade at 86 at the close. Multistrada Arah Sarana Tbk (JK:MASA) added 20.09% or 46 points to end at 275 and Inti Kapuas Arowana Tbk (JK:IIKP) was up 18.99% or 340.00 points to 2130.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sat Nusapersada Tbk (JK:PTSN), which lost 10.00% or 8 points to trade at 72 in late trade. Roda Vivatex Tbk (JK:RDTX) declined 9.91% or 575.000 points to end at 5225.000 and Multifiling Mitra Indonesia (JK:MFMI) shed 9.90% or 20 points to 182.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 194 to 112 and 37 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.07% or 0.03 to $34.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.86% or 0.32 to hit $37.38 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.39% or 4.10 to trade at $1053.70 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.92% to 13930.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.09% to 9998.65.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 98.93.
