Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 2.95% or 0.76 points to trade at 26.50 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 1.88% or 3.50 points to end at 190.00 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 1.82% or 1.65 points to 92.55 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb), which lost 0.70% or 1.8 points to trade at 254.1 in late trade. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) declined 0.65% or 2.0 points to end at 307.8 and Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs) shed 0.33% or 0.7 points to 214.6.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 367 to 220 and 61 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.92% or 1.22 to $43.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.48% or 1.10 to hit $45.37 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.20% or 2.75 to trade at $1341.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.16% to 9.5113, while USD/SEK rose 0.30% to 8.5850.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 96.36.
