On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for April delivery traded at USD1159.70 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.58%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1154.30 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1154.30 and resistance at USD1208.90.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.92% to trade at USD98.53.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for May delivery fell 0.94% to trade at USD15.628 a troy ounce while Copper for May delivery fell 1.79% to trade at USD2.623 a pound.
