Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were J. Martins SGPS (LISBON:JMT), which rose 3.24% or 0.4275 points to trade at 13.6125 at the close. Semapa (LISBON:SEM) added 2.10% or 0.2750 points to end at 13.3800 and Banco BPI (LISBON:BBPI) was up 1.86% or 0.0175 points to 0.9575 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LISBON:PHRA), which lost 9.55% or 0.0295 points to trade at 0.2795 in late trade. Mota Engil (LISBON:MOTA) declined 3.07% or 0.0690 points to end at 2.1780 and Galp Energia Nom (LISBON:GALP) shed 1.66% or 0.1725 points to 10.2375.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 38 to 26 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.84% or 0.41 to $49.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.62% or 0.26 to hit $42.49 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.29% or 3.20 to trade at $1112.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.23% to 1.1124, while EUR/GBP fell 0.43% to 0.7110.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.17% at 96.52.
