Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Public Services and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 1.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p), which rose 3.96% or 45.0 points to trade at 1180.0 at the close. Celsia SA (CN:CEL) added 2.41% or 110.0 points to end at 4670.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) was up 2.24% or 580.0 points to 26500.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI), which lost 1.62% or 400.0 points to trade at 24340.0 in late trade. Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU) declined 0.70% or 50.0 points to end at 7140.0 and Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) shed 0.50% or 40.0 points to 7910.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 5 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 0.60% or 0.85 to $143.12 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 0.33% or 9.00 to hit $2777.50 , while the June Gold contract fell 1.38% or 16.60 to trade at $1186.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.73% to 2490.50, while BRL/COP rose 1.62% to 828.15.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 98.25.
