Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.68%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LISBON:CTT), which rose 1.71% or 0.1580 points to trade at 9.3910 at the close. Altri SGPS (LISBON:ALSS) added 0.78% or 0.0270 points to end at 3.4700 and Banco BPI (LISBON:BBPI) was up 0.43% or 0.0045 points to 1.0415 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LISBON:MOTA), which lost 2.74% or 0.0645 points to trade at 2.2875 in late trade. Teixeira Duarte (LISBON:TDSA) declined 2.39% or 0.0130 points to end at 0.5300 and Pharol SGPS SA (LISBON:PHRA) shed 2.07% or 0.0080 points to 0.3790.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 46 to 19 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 2.59% or 1.60 to $60.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.34% or 1.33 to hit $55.60 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.36% or 4.20 to trade at $1167.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.07% to 1.1092, while EUR/GBP rose 0.34% to 0.7125.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 96.26.
