Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Information Technology and Leasing & Factoring sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.67%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL), which rose 13.33% or 0.080 points to trade at 0.680 at the close. Hurriyet Gzt. (IS:HURGZ) added 8.96% or 0.060 points to end at 0.730 and Erbosan (IS:ERBOS) was up 2.53% or 0.90 points to 36.45 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Konya Cimento (IS:KONYA), which lost 4.69% or 16.00 points to trade at 325.00 in late trade. Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY) declined 4.11% or 1.15 points to end at 26.85 and Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) shed 3.57% or 0.010 points to 0.270.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 264 to 133 and 17 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for August delivery was down 0.60% or 7.00 to $1168.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.26% or 0.15 to hit $57.85 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.35% or 0.21 to trade at $61.81 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.43% to 2.6793, while EUR/TRY fell 0.74% to 2.9781.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.00% at 96.45.
