Investing.com – United Arab Emirates equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Services and Real Estate & Construction sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Dubai, the DFM General rose 0.63%, while the ADX General index climbed 0.62%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the DFM General were ARAMEX PJSC (DU:ARMX), which rose 2.07% or 0.080 points to trade at 3.940 at the close. Dubai Islamic Bank (DU:DISB) added 1.69% or 0.090 points to end at 5.420 and Takaful Emarat PSC (DU:TKFE) was up 1.43% or 0.040 points to 2.840 in late trade.

Biggest losers included SHUAA Capital PSC (DU:SHUA), which lost 1.33% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.888 in late trade. Islamic Arab Insurance Company (DU:SALAMA) declined 1.02% or 0.005 points to end at 0.485 and Marka Pjse (DU:MARKA) shed 0.90% or 0.01 points to 1.10.

The top performers on the ADX General were Abu Dhabi National Hotels Co (AD:ADNH) which rose 14.81% to 3.10, Int Fish Farmi (AD:ASMK) which was up 10.13% to settle at 1.74 and Al Khazna Ins (AD:AKIC) which gained 8.33% to close at 0.390.

The worst performers were Dana Gas (AD:DANA) which was down 3.57% to 0.540 in late trade, Bank Of Sharja (AD:BOS) which lost 3.45% to settle at 1.400 and Rak Ceramics (AD:RKCE) which was down 2.36% to 2.900 at the close.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 9 and 9 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi, 16 rose and 7 declined, while 4 ended unchanged on the Dubai Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.15% or 0.07 to $46.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.30% or 0.15 to hit $49.09 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.02% or 0.25 to trade at $1323.45 a troy ounce.

USD/AED was unchanged 0.00% to 3.6730, while EUR/AED rose 0.00% to 4.1200.

The US Dollar Index was up 0.12% at 95.42.
