On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for April delivery traded at USD1198.30 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.21%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1190.50 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1190.50 and resistance at USD1222.90.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.02% to trade at USD94.64.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for May delivery fell 0.45% to trade at USD16.225 a troy ounce while Copper for May delivery rose 1.95% to trade at USD2.637 a pound.
