Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Metals, Information Technology and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 3.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA), which rose 20.00% or 0.150 points to trade at 0.900 at the close. Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) added 19.18% or 0.140 points to end at 0.870 and Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL) was up 10.20% or 0.050 points to 0.540 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Coca Cola Icecek (IS:CCOLA), which lost 0.81% or 0.30 points to trade at 36.82 in late trade. Tekfen Holding (IS:TKFEN) declined 0.41% or 0.03 points to end at 7.27 and Ayen Enerji (IS:AYEN) 0.00% or 0.000 points to 3.170.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 366 to 19 and 24 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.30% or 3.95 to $1327.55 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.42% or 1.07 to hit $43.12 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 2.10% or 0.97 to trade at $45.12 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.01% to 3.0389, while EUR/TRY fell 0.95% to 3.3379.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 97.40.
