Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Auto & components sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.30% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO), which rose 8.64% or 5.25 points to trade at 66.00 at the close. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) added 8.20% or 11.7 points to end at 154.4 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was up 4.31% or 2.40 points to 58.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Orkla ASA (OL:ORK), which lost 2.27% or 1.95 points to trade at 84.10 in late trade. Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV) declined 1.57% or 1.15 points to end at 72.15 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) shed 1.22% or 0.01 points to 1.05.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 102 to 71 and 25 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.67% or 0.31 to $46.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.45% or 0.22 to hit $48.69 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 5.95 to trade at $1233.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.37% to 9.3519, while USD/NOK fell 0.39% to 8.1523.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 94.96.
