Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.47%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kemira Oyj (HE:KRA1V), which rose 1.53% or 0.14 points to trade at 9.28 at the close. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) added 0.76% or 0.15 points to end at 19.95 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 0.66% or 0.035 points to 5.300 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 4.69% or 0.1380 points to trade at 2.8040 in late trade. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 2.41% or 0.064 points to end at 2.590 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) shed 1.89% or 0.44 points to 22.81.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 114 to 66 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 2.50% or 0.83 to $32.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.09% or 0.32 to hit $29.12 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 2.31% or 28.60 to trade at $1210.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.1141, while EUR/GBP rose 0.83% to 0.7793.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 96.88.
