Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Materials, Telecoms Services and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC added 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX), which rose 4.66% or 2.050 points to trade at 46.000 at the close. Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:GFREGIOO) added 2.21% or 1.930 points to end at 89.200 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (MX:ASURB) was up 1.57% or 4.160 points to 268.990 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which lost 3.23% or 0.370 points to trade at 11.080 in late trade. Mexichem , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:MEXCHEM) declined 2.66% or 1.160 points to end at 42.530 and PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA) shed 2.35% or 5.080 points to 210.710.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 85 to 70 and 8 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 1.44% or 15.90 to $1088.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.75% or 0.79 to hit $44.41 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.82% or 0.40 to trade at $47.59 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 1.33% to 16.8260, while EUR/MXN fell 0.01% to 18.0696.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.22% at 99.28.
