Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 2.79% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which fell 0.83% or 4.5 points to trade at 539.0 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) fell 1.08% or 2.5 points to end at 229.2 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was down 1.09% or 1.40 points to 127.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which lost 4.61% or 10.8 points to trade at 223.6 in late trade. Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) declined 4.39% or 8.8 points to end at 191.8 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) shed 4.29% or 3.60 points to 80.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 387 to 56 and 5 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.81% or 0.36 to $44.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.99% or 0.47 to hit $48.23 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.90% or 21.50 to trade at $1153.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.06% to 9.4384, while USD/SEK fell 0.22% to 8.3934.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.43% at 95.98.
