Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Holding Companies, Construction & Building Materials and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 1.49% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Aluminum mar 1l (CS:ALU), which rose 5.94% or 66 points to trade at 1176 at the close. Maghrebail (CS:MAB) added 5.60% or 35 points to end at 659 and Snep (CS:SNP) was up 5.16% or 5.45 points to 111.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Douja Prom Addoha (CS:ADH), which lost 6.00% or 1.59 points to trade at 24.91 in late trade. Eqdom (CS:EQDM) declined 6.00% or 72 points to end at 1128 and Alliances (CS:ADI) shed 5.99% or 3 points to 45.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 30 to 15 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.37% or 1.58 to $45.32 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.07% or 1.01 to hit $48.06 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.81% or 20.20 to trade at $1137.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.20% to 10.9480, while USD/MAD rose 0.30% to 9.6300.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.31% at 94.92.
