Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.99%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb), which rose 2.85% or 5.5 points to trade at 198.5 at the close. Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) added 2.45% or 5.2 points to end at 217.6 and Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs) was up 2.41% or 5.7 points to 242.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb), which lost 0.54% or 0.90 points to trade at 167.10 in late trade. Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) declined 0.09% or 0.10 points to end at 109.40 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) gained 0.03% or 0.01 points to 32.35.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 286 to 150 and 9 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 5.16% or 2.30 to $46.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 4.01% or 1.92 to hit $49.66 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.73% or 19.10 to trade at $1121.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.44% to 9.3198, while USD/SEK fell 0.75% to 8.2465.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.36% at 95.41.
