Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 2.46% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which rose 0.17% or 0.20 points to trade at 116.60 at the close. Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) fell 0.03% or 0.1 points to end at 347.9 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was down 1.51% or 1.35 points to 88.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs), which lost 4.35% or 11.9 points to trade at 261.9 in late trade. ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) declined 3.82% or 6.7 points to end at 168.6 and Investor AB ser. B (ST:INVEb) shed 3.70% or 12.5 points to 325.3.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 352 to 88 and 5 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.12% or 0.05 to $43.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.14% or 0.07 to hit $49.78 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.41% or 15.60 to trade at $1123.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.40% to 9.5980, while USD/SEK fell 1.05% to 8.5663.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.26% at 96.01.
