Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 1.16% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which rose 0.42% or 0.60 points to trade at 142.00 at the close. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) added 0.08% or 0.2 points to end at 259.8 and Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs) was up 0.04% or 0.1 points to 262.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which lost 3.12% or 3.10 points to trade at 96.40 in late trade. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 2.64% or 4.10 points to end at 151.10 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) shed 2.45% or 1.09 points to 43.31.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 289 to 141 and 2 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.96% or 0.56 to $58.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.65% or 1.02 to hit $63.03 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.14% or 1.70 to trade at $1177.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.09% to 9.2540, while USD/SEK rose 0.81% to 8.2945.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.50% at 95.56.
