On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for June delivery traded at USD58.97 a barrel at time of writing falling 0.31%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD58.47 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD56.54 and resistance at USD59.90.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.24% to trade at USD95.61.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for June delivery fell 0.00% to trade at USD66.47 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD7.5 a barrel.
