Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Public Services, Inversionist and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI), which rose 3.46% or 800.0 points to trade at 23900.0 at the close. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) added 1.74% or 140.0 points to end at 8200.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 1.53% or 30.0 points to 1995.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 3.15% or 200.0 points to trade at 6140.0 in late trade. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 2.89% or 110.0 points to end at 3690.0 and Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU) shed 2.29% or 150.0 points to 6400.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 13 to 10 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was up 0.36% or 0.50 to $140.10 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 0.77% or 21.50 to hit $2753.50 , while the April Gold contract rose 0.53% or 6.40 to trade at $1203.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.65% to 2561.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.93% to 802.12.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.50% at 97.56.
