On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for December delivery traded at USD1224.60 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.39%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1221.00 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1221.00 and resistance at USD1235.50.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.08% to trade at USD85.40.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for December delivery rose 0.27% to trade at USD17.273 a troy ounce while Copper for December delivery rose 0.39% to trade at USD3.102 a pound.
