Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Public Services and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which rose 2.84% or 0.5 points to trade at 18.1 at the close. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) added 2.48% or 280.0 points to end at 11580.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 1.57% or 400.0 points to 25900.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupoaval (CN:GAA), which lost 2.42% or 30.0 points to trade at 1210.0 in late trade. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 1.26% or 30.0 points to end at 2350.0 and Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) shed 0.95% or 360.0 points to 37460.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 12 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 1.11% or 1.62 to $147.85 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.57% or 16.00 to hit $2779.50 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.34% or 4.30 to trade at $1257.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.73% to 2926.93, while BRL/COP rose 1.08% to 910.09.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 96.53.
