Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Beverage and Mining sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 1.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Risma (CS:RIS), which rose 3.54% or 3.90 points to trade at 114.00 at the close. Cosumar (CS:CSMR) added 3.32% or 6 points to end at 197 and Jet Contractors (CS:JET) was up 2.33% or 3.85 points to 168.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM), which lost 5.88% or 100 points to trade at 1600 in late trade. Managem (CS:MNG) declined 3.52% or 30 points to end at 820 and IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) shed 3.28% or 1.87 points to 55.02.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 13 and 6 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.41% or 0.68 to $48.76 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.01% or 0.49 to hit $48.84 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.79% or 22.45 to trade at $1229.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.26% to 10.8810, while USD/MAD rose 0.35% to 9.7542.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.36% at 95.57.
