Investing.com - The British parliament will vote on whether to leave the European Union on 29 March without a deal on Wednesday evening.
Members of Parliament handed Prime Minister Theresa May a second overwhelming defeat for her Brexit plan on Tuesday, after which the PM told parliament they would be allowed a ‘free vote’ on Wednesday.
The government announced it would eliminate import tariffs on a wide range of goods in a 'no deal' Brexit scenario on Wednesday morning.
Parliament is expected to reject leaving without an agreement in 16 days’ time. If this is the case, there will be another vote Thursday on whether to ask the EU for more time and delay departure day.
