Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 1.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which rose 1.79% or 220.0 points to trade at 12500.0 at the close. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) added 0.83% or 15.0 points to end at 1815.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) was up 0.56% or 0.1 points to 17.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which lost 4.75% or 85.0 points to trade at 1705.0 in late trade. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 4.00% or 80.0 points to end at 1920.0 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) shed 3.79% or 580.0 points to 14720.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 8 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 2.69% or 3.62 to $131.05 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 2.79% or 85.00 to hit $2957.50 , while the April Gold contract fell 2.18% or 27.20 to trade at $1221.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.27% to 3067.50, while BRL/COP fell 1.48% to 833.67.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 96.10.
